I know they have identical DNA and began life as a single ovum, but really our girls are so very different it’s hard to believe they are even related. Take this current mirror image of likes and dislikes
Leah likes……………Leah dislikes
Cars…………………………dolls
Thomas……………………riding her bike
Blue…………………………pink
Raisins…………………….apples
Elmer the Elephant……princesses
Eve likes………………….Eve dislikes
Dolls………………………….cars
Riding her bike…………..Thomas
Pink………………………….blue
Apples………………………raisins
Princesses………………….Elmer the Elephant
That leaves a very small porthole of shared interests which consists of bananas, croissants, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and speeding on their scooters.
I always find it perplexing when people ask me how I tell them apart when even as small babies their different personalities made them look so different. I treasure the picture above because of this. There’s Eve on the right who smiled and cooed her way through babyhood and Leah on the left who was just so and still is adorably serious.
Dear Mom,
Your twins are so cute! They are just babies, wait until they grow older.
My twin and I did the DNA test to prove that we are identical indeed. It is stunning since we don’t look alike, but never the less we are identical twins.
Dear Miriam, thank you, it’s always lovely to receive a comment. We only found out Eve and Leah were identical last year following a DNA test. It’s extra special to be an identical twin and I’m glad we know now.
