Lately we have been spending our Sundays in Lambeth because Eve and Leah are doing a dance course at the wonderful Siobhan Davies Studios, next door to the Imperial War Museum. Sunday’s warm and sunny weather inspired us to do the Ice Age Tree Walk in the Geraldine Harmsworth Garden. It was kind of fun to find all 34 native species of UK tree and to learn that there are 34 species of native tree, I had no idea. Each tree was marked by a post big enough for Eve and Leah to find and the whole walk can be done in under an hour. The sun helped as did equipping Eve and Leah with a croissant and a big stick each. It’s a shame that some of the plaques and one or two of the trees were missing, but even so it was a nice way to while away a Sunday afternoon. If you want you can click on the image above to read the tree captions.
